Good governance is increasingly becoming of great concern to both developed and developing countries. In the earlier days, Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee- Xiang Lili made the comment on governance through TV –a new method of working style rectification. He stated that “It is worth trying “governance through TV” combining with working style rectification for its renovation feature, which should be well carried out to show its good effect.” Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou Government- Qu Hai added: “governance through TV concerns about the public voices, further promoting the style change.” It was learned from the report meeting of governance through TV working style rectification that “governance through TV” was stepped into the climax. Member of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee Standing Committee and Director of Chenzhou Discipline Inspection Commission- Liu Guangyue, Member of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee Standing Committee and Director of Chenzhou Propaganda Ministry- Zhou Yingchun were presented at the conference.

At the meeting, the coordinating group of governance through TV of Chenzhou working style rectification delivered the working report on the experience learning from the programs of governance through TV held by Wuhan TV station, the earlier stage work condition of governance through TV and next plan of the work. It is planned to record and broadcast the following special performances for governance through TV: traffic construction on August 23, city upgrading on August 26 and industrial transfer on August 29.

Zhou Yingchun highly affirmed the stage effect achieved by governance through TV and required that all the propaganda departments and media departments should fully participate and support this activity. Zhou also commented that the following key points need to be grasped: expanding the coverage, choosing correct themes, planning fined programs, accepting people’s examination, holding the guidance of public opinions, emphasizing discipline requirements and solving problems.

Liu Guangyue pointed out that now Chenzhou working style rectification has stepped into the climax, so is the governance through TV. The standards of checking the effect of governance through TV should be based on the acceptance, attendance and feedback of the general public. The points concerning for the effect are TV topics, programs planning, hosting, commenting, etc.. All of these will help to achieve the goal of showing results, boost confidence and face the problems.
